We are thrilled to announce the recruitment of a postdoctoral researcher, to participate in research on societal cohesion adopting a network approach. This full-time position, lasting 22 months, is part of the prestigious ERC Advanced Grant project "A network science approach to social cohesion in European societies" (PATCHWORK), led by Prof. Dr. Miranda Lubbers. The research aims to understand individuals' acquaintanceship networks and their relation to core networks, as well as how these networks influence social trust, solidarity, and other indicators of ideational cohesion. We expect candidates to have a PhD in quantitative sociology, network science, statistics, or related social science fields or physics. There is no teaching involved.
The successful candidate will become a member of the interdisciplinary COALESCE Lab and work on publications in international journals.
