Objective

The objective of this doctoral thesis project is to examine how Koreans living in Spain identify nationally and in what way they feel part of Spain and Korea, taking into account their migration history, the socio-political context and acquaintances with whom they interact on a daily basis. This allows us to understand, among other things, how they integrate into Spanish society in different cities and what ties they maintain with Korean society.

The research is led by Marc Alcalà i Rams and is financed with a Joan Oró predoctoral scholarship of the Generalitat de Catalunya (FI 2024).
