For the ERC Advanced Grant project "A network science approach to social cohesion in European societies" (see the projects tab for more information), we have four open positions at the UAB in Barcelona, one postdoctoral and three predoctoral positions, each for four years full-time. You will have the possibility to participate in an international, large-scale research project with a team of researchers, who will carry out a cross-national European study (survey, agent-based modeling, and qualitative research). The three PhD students:

are expected to enter the doctoral program of Social and Cultural Anthropology at the UAB, or, if desired, another doctoral program at the UAB (see here for the list of programs), in agreement with the thesis advisors.

have the option to do a doctorate under international joint supervision if they wish so, which involves writing one PhD thesis that is submitted in two programs in different countries, as explained in the Euraxess calls and here. It is optional - by no means required.

have an additional budget for a three-month stay abroad, and their costs of enrolment in the doctoral program, travels and registration fees for conferences, and the printing costs of their PhD thesis will be covered by the lab.
Information on Spanish income tax rates is given in the calls. People of any nationality can apply.
