Lara Désirée Brinker is a third-year PhD student in Social and Cultural Anthropology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, where she does research into the model of homestay programs for refugees offered by the organization Refugees Welcome. For her research, she has conducted ethnographic fieldwork at the organization as well as qualitative interviews with refugees, homeowners who participate in the program, social workers, and intermediaries.
Lara is also a Corporate Learning and Identity Manager at FINCON in Germany.
