I am currently a Margarita Salas postdoctoral fellow at the UPF, but I was a Lab Manager at the COALESCE Lab between September and December 2023. Prior to this role, I was a predoctoral researcher in the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology, finishing my PhD in 2020. My research aims to analyze the processes of identity (religious and racialized identities) construction in daughters of mixed couples with a father or mother of Moroccan origin. Upon completing my PhD, I was a postdoctoral fellow in the same department for a year, and today I still maintain my affiliation with the INMIX research group where I did my predoctoral and postdoctoral research.

I did two research stays abroad. First, during my PhD, I stayed at the University of Edinburgh, supervised by Prof. Nasar Meer, an expert in Islam, gender, and racialization, topics that framed the theoretical contribution of my PhD thesis. Second, as a postdoctoral researcher, I was for three months at the KU Leuven (Belgium) in the Centre for Sociological Research, supervised by Prof. Francesco Cerchiaro. I have developed teaching activities at both the University of Edinburgh and at KU Leuven. I have written a total of 5 contributions, two of them in high-impact and first-quartile journals (Social Compass and Journal of Beliefs and Values). As part of the general indicators of the quality of scientific production, I would like to mention my contribution to peer review in high-impact journals such as Race and Social Problems (Racial discrimination, black identity, and critical consciousness in Spain) (IS 2,87; H-Index 29).

As part of transfer activities, I have participated in Focus Groups on the results of European projects, specifically "STAND-UP: Standing against hate in the EU" organized by the EuroArab Foundation for Higher Studies (Granada, Spain). I have been part of the scientific committee of the Research Conference on Religion and Spirituality organized by the research groups ISOR (UAB), CEIC (UPV), and INMIX (UAB) for three years, from 2017 to 2020.
