As part of the annual Week of Anthropology organized by ICA, we hosted a lively symposium at the Laie Bookstore in central Barcelona. Our topic, “Machine Anthropology or Bastard Algebra?”, explored the recent incorporation of computational methods and technology into anthropological research.
Our colleague Marc Alcalà-i-Rams was awarded an FPU scholarship by the Spanish Ministry, a fully funded PhD fellowship. With this grant, Marc will carry out the HANIN-ESP-ID Project, which explores the identities and sense of belonging of Koreans in Spain. Congratulations, Marc!
