IMISCOE conference in Girona

From the 29th of June to the 2nd of July, Nuria Targarona Rifa and Miranda Lubbers participated in the 23rd annual conference of IMISCOE in Girona. They presented two papers from the PATCHWORK project, "Beyond ethnic and migrant categories: From analytical classifications to lived social perceptions of similarity and status" (Núria) and "Intersectional Discrimination and the Erosion of Trust" (Miranda). Furthermore, together with Basak Bilecen, Miranda hosted a roundtable on the Handbook on International Migration and Social Networks that was published recently, together with eight coauthors. The event took place at the University of Girona in the old town.
