The COALESCE Lab will participate in the European Research Night at UAB on Thursday 5 November 2026, inviting visitors of all ages to explore the hidden networks that connect us. Through a series of interactive activities that reveal how social networks shape our daily lives, visitors will have the opportunity to estimate the size and composition of their acquaintanceship networks, explore their core personal relationships, and discover how much we actually know about the people closest to us.
For younger visitors, the team has prepared playful activities such as a quiz, relationship-themed word searches and hands-on network construction games. Together, these activities offer a fun introduction to the science of social connections and the networks that weave our communities together.
The activities are based on the PATCHWORK project, a large project on human relationships and social cohesion.
