Alice Ferro is a Ph.D. student in Political Science and Sociology at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Florence, and a member of the Center of Social Movement Studies (COSMOS).

Her research interests are embedded within the framework of relational sociology and collective action phenomena, social movements in particular. She is currently working on environmental and climate justice movements adopting a diachronic comparison to the alliance-building processes in action, combining the structural and cultural dimensions.

Alice holds a BA in Political Science from the Università degli Studi di Milano and an MA in Sociology and Social Research from the Università degli Studi di Trento, where she had the opportunity to study and apply different methodological approaches and tools. In fact, she works with a mixed methods approach within the framework of Social Network Analysis.

Alice is visiting the COALESCE Lab during the first months of 2026.
